Flex Wheeler's Statement About MD Situation
« on: April 08, 2010, 06:59:24 AM »
Just caught this near the end of Flex's PBW radio interview.  He plays it cool but you can tell he dont like Shawn Ray one bit.

"I'm not on the radio show anymore. It was viewed that I dont have a strong enough presence to be on the show and another person has taken that on completely. It is what it is.  Steve's the boss over there and he makes the calls. My role definitely decreased with MD since other people have been brought to the company. I'm not really sure my direction with them. Me and Steve still have to talk and see what that is."

If that was Nasser he would have blamed everyone from Steve Blechman to Eugene Sandow for discriminating against him and hatching an industry wide conspiracy to keep him off the air.

Everyone isn't always best suited for everything they try. That's life.

Shawn Ray is awesome at what he does and Steve Blechman is a very good businessman. It happens all the time.

Good for Flex to look for a role that he can add value to MD instead of crying about it. Flex is just making the transition from "athlete" to businessman. Good for him.

Shawn Ray has always been a good businessman. For some reason in this industry, that's frowned upon by many.

say what you want about sean rey, but he knows what to do when you put a mic or cam in front of him.  kenny wheeler is just a very sad impersonation of a knee grow.  he tries so hard to be ghetto but just comes off sounding like a white middle class teenager singing along to his favorite T.I. joint.

Flex is useless to MD. They should sign Cormier just for entertainment value.

That's because Nasser generally doesn't give an F and tells the truth like it is, feeling no need to suck up to anyone in the industry.

It's hard for him to use it since it's always occupied with Nasser.  Doctor's were baffled when his bran scan result came out :o
