Question - Why the addition of the IGF1

I noticed you recommended IGF1, anabolic steroids and rhGH for the aided bodybuilder?

Why the addition of the IGF1 when rhGH promotes the production of such? The main reason for admininstration of supraphysiological levels of rhGH being the release of IGF1 by the liver. Is there a synergistic pathway at work here?

Thanks for your input. We value your extensive education here at getbig.com.

Growth hormone has a fair amount of activity by itself, especially when combined with anabolics and insulin. Exogenous IGF-1, however, has very limited efficacy unless combined with hGH. While hGH induces the production of IGF-1, increased levels of the latter in combination with enhanced levels of growth hormone have a synergistic effect on increasing protein synthesis and amino acid absoprtion exponentially (far beyond anything that anabolics could induce) in addition to IGF-1's ability of catalyzing the body to use adipose tissue as energy as well as muscle cell hyperplasia. It is important to remember that the majority of hGH's potential impact on muscular growth is influenced almost entirely by IGF-1 levels. Increased levels of IGF-1, beyond what GH can simply produce have an exponential effect on muscle growth. Another important aspect of increased IGF-1 levels, beyond that of levels catalyzed by GH is hyperinsulin sensitivity.

Bottom-line: IGF-1 and hGH have a synergistic effect. High levels of IGF-1, beyond physiological levels induced by exogenous GH, will increase muscle size through hyperplasia and insulin sensitivity while both peptides work together to exponentially increase protein synthesis, amino acid absoprtion and adipose tissue fueled energy.
