Ha ha ha. Good find. Benny is such a freaking joke.
This interview is absolute gold. I saw it before but it's been nearly three years and listening to it again I see how spot on Ron Paul was.
Thanks Benny Douchbage for reminding me of a great interview.
Also, for those that listen to this interview, you'll get the real reason why I've backed Hugo Chavez. To some that will sound crazy, to others maybe not. Many have thought that I backed Hugo because I had a fundamental agreement with his politics. That's not the case at all. I mean I think it's fine for the population he serves, but it's up to them, not us!!! I just think Hugo is a matter for internal Venezuelan politics to decide, not us. During the Bush years, there were clear attempts at intervention including support for the failed coup attempt. There were many pushing for a higher degree of intervention and I'm quite sure they were considering that. Had it not been for our engagements in the middle east, I'm quite sure we would have directly intervened with Hugo. I'm totally against that. During the Bush years I spent a lot of time looking into Hugo and Venezuelan political history. I found time after time, the same sort of misconceptions and lies being reported that have transpired in so many past interventions we've engaged in, especially in Latin America. That is where my support has been, trying to make sure people actually had both sides of the story and not just the engineered side that led to war. One might see from these motives why I would like a guy like Ron Paul most.
