Thanks for your detailed and interesting response, ACH. I find this shit fascinating for some reason and have friends working on various assembly  lines back east that build automobiles. A couple of them lost their jobs due to robotics.

My friend (let's call him Sam) first started on a thoroughly manual automobile  line in his home town  while he was still going to high school. Initially it was a 4 hour a day job and the new guys on the line always got the shittiest job on that line and the shittiest job was placing those truck bumpers in their proper place and position.

So he and another HS buddy got that job which required the two of them to do the heavy lifting together and fast enough to keep that line in operation. If they fell behind, the line would have to shut down until they caught up.

Sam said that after that first day at work he actually went home and cried, but the money was good enough to keep him on the job and crying a bit each nite.

Sam was a 6ft tall skinny kid with no fat on his frame but he had no idea what muscles were either. But he persisted and spent his paycheck wisely at the local GNC buying protein thinking it would make him stronger should an 8 hr shift become available.

Within 3 months his buddy quit unexpectantly, but Sam realized he was on his own and would have no help until they found someone else willing to lift heavy bumpers.

That was when he fully realized that those heavy bunpers wen't so heavy as they used to be (they were the same wt actually) and he really didn't need any help to do the job, so he asked his supervisor, "Hey! If I do this by myself, can I get a raise?"

So they gave it a try and he got his raise and continued the heavy lifting for the next couple of years by his lonesome.

And he was 18 or 19 at the time and the muscle just kept on growing and growing until he became a freak of nature and a major attraction because all his fellow employees knew him as the crazy, skinny kid who never complained about lifting heavy bumpers. Now he was that crazy kid with an unreal build who still lifted those heavy bumpers - but with much less effort now.

He was super shy and very quiet but now everyone wanted to talk to him and ask his advice  about their sons who were trying to get bigger for the local football team. And all he could honestly say was. "Just lift heavy things all day! That's what I do."

He was contest ready but had no idea what a bodybuilding contest was until one day he visited his HS gym for the first time to see how much he could bench press and the first comment he heard from the biggest competitive bodybuilder guy in the gym was, ......"Whoo! Fuck, dude! What the fuck are you on?! I would kill to look like that! You gotta train with me, dude!"

So now he had a training partner who was willing to show him what to do and how to do it right and the constant gains he made were amazing and noticeable by most of the people in his home town.

He actually became the guy to go to if some bigger gang member was threatening someone,. And Sam could never say "NO" when someone asked for a favor (his eventual downfall many years later) so he'd show up at some gang guy's front door and try to settle the matter peacefully. And many times he was successful. And a few times NOT!

After a couple of getting his ass kicked in experiences, he decided that he had to find some time to take some boxing lessons,

So he eventually showed up at a local boxing  club and a couple of well known coaches see this 6ft plus pile of ripped up muscle and see some possible boxing potential so they put him in gloves and throw him into the ring with another kid. But this kid has boxing experience and within a minute Sam is flat on his ass seeing little blue birds.

But one coach noticed his quick reflexes and tells him to come back tomorrow.... "And lose some of that muscle, kid!"

And that was the very start of a very short but very successful boxing "career". And he never lost an ounce of muscle. It was more like a 25 lb gain.

Opps, got carried away a bit on this very true story which I'll try to continue in another pist if there is any interest.

Che - Sigh

Noworries - I wish it was that easy, this exam is ALL MEMORIZATION, and the prof even said "I don't care if you just learn this stuff spit it out, and forget it the next day" - my plan exactly LOL

Stuntmovie  - Its sad when people get fired due to technology coming in, breaks my heart.  This is one good thing about Egypt.
BY LAW, if you've worked at a company for more than 1 year, you cannot be let go for any reason unless you've ROYALLY fucked up!  There is no such thing as Lay offs or anything like that.  So if I get a new robot in to replace someone, I have to find a new job for this person if he's been in the company for more than a year, can't let him go.
Now granted there are ways to make people leave lol, like taking away their benefits, bonuses, raises, and making them hate their life at the work place LOL
The law also works for the advantage of the employer, at an interview an employer can ask someone, his age, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, whether he has kids or not, anything he wants, and can decide to hire him or not hire him based on that, whereas in the US there are some strict rules about such things.
