first came the jews.

then comes jesus, those who accpeted jesus became christians, those who did not remained jews.

a while goes by, along comes muhumad(sp?)..those who accepted muhumad became muslims, those who did not remained christians.


of course tis is overly simplified and a very wide spread generalization...

but its a good summary


all the basic teachings are the same..  the prophets all had very similar messages... there is one god, love your neighbor like yourself..

I don't think that jews accept John the Baptist as a prophet since he pointed to Jesus as the Christ/Messiah.


Jews knew the Messiah was coming but reject Jesus as Messiah.  Christians believe Jesus is God and Messiah (one of the 3 "persons" in the Godhead)  Jews and Muslims don't.


Do you have a "scripture" or whatever they are called from the Koran about the love your neighbor as yourself message?  I don't know a lot about Islam.

..i'll try keep this short..cause i hate typing.....i know..i work with computers 
there is a story in the koran about how mohammed used to pass by this kafir (idol worshipper) womans house everyday on his way to prayer and she used to throw garbage on him....
then one day she did not throw garbage..soo he went in to investigate why?  so he finds that she is sick and he tended her back to health over the course of days...

I could care less about religion.  My thing is to not be reachy or try to turn others.  I respect Jews for that, they don't try to go out and convert, if you want to learn about them then you have to seek them out.  I think thsi is most proper.
