Alex you are a strong fucker.  My shoulders were always my strongest part.  I get my strength back in them the fastest too.  Even at 50 I take a few months off and I come back in 30 days doing 225 for seated reps.  I like doing the uprights with dumbbells.  I can get a better range and you really feel it.  Also with the front raises.  I was taught way back to use the dumbbells but make sure you bring your fist in so it goes even with the center of your chest. Of all the shoulder exercises I like the upright dumbbells the best.  The barbarian brothers always said I was the only person who could keep up with them.  We would do side laterals together.  Start at 60 to 70 lbs.  Do just 4 good reps.  Then move down the rack at 5 lb intervals till you hit the 5 lb dumbbells.  You go non stop with no rest between sets and you increase the reps as you go along.  And you do it to your own feel.  So when you are at the 30 lb dumbbells you might be doing them for 12 reps or so.  Well when you get down to the little 5 lb dumbbells you are doing around 20 reps.  But they feel like they weigh a ton.  People used to see us when we were down at the 5 lb and would think we were playing around or joking cause we could barely get them up.  It is a fucking killer workout.  You will have a hard time sleep and even holding your arms ups.  I had okay shoulders.

Awesome stuff Keith. Yea my goal is to eventually play around with the 70's .. 4-6 solid reps. Same here my shoulders were already there when I was born; I can't evne prioritize them otherwise they overshadow my physique like right away and make my arms look small...

Do you still have that wide collar flahsdance shirt? ;D

i worked up to 52 pounds side laterals, 6 good reps, only thing thats buggin me my wrists give out, i keep the dumbell hanging with my hands, cant keep it parallel to the wrist, but it shouldnt matter that much.  i work the arms just as hard as delts, delts are overpowering the arms from the front, not from side, but i aint gonna train delts less because of that, fuck it!

You know whats funny is I started wearing my shirts like that after hanging around the twins.  I would go out and buy and 6X or 7X shirt come home and tear out the neck.  For some reason I liked it.  Plus I was nice and tan and had some muscles.  Now I cover as much as possible.
