Not if you look at history when placing your bet. A few years ago the celts and the lakers met in the finals the Celtics won. This Celtics team is better than that team. Sheed gives them more length and Rondo has become an elite player.

la and the celtics are so lightyears away from the competition its not even funny. Should be interesting finals tho. Both Rivers and jackson are old school coaches who know their shit, they ve developed incredible team chemistry in both their teams and this is what wins games, not individualistic prima donnas -cough... lebron...howard... cough-.

I'm still waiting to see bynum do something usefull for his team, he will be badly needed against the celts. Actually it's  kobe/gasol/fisher/artest who support their whole team on their shoulders alone, with artest, bynum and odom not always being very consistant. Farmar and shannon can sometimes be excellent but again it's not consistant. The celts have a more powerful and consistant roster and a deeper bench imo. I think they ll win it, they re just too tough, too complete. They re machines. The lakers are skilled and versatile but they might start to feel a bit tired after the suns series.

now, at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME, the boston celtics recieved TWO HALL OF FAMERS at the same time, in exchange for nothing.
the Celtics had been mediocre for TWENTY YEARS, had won 20 games the year before, then OVERNIGHT became the best team in the whole NBA. the GM who gave Garnett to the celtics? kevin mchale, boston celtic legend.
their one-season turnaround set an NBA record-from 20 years of mediocrity and a 20 win season to winning 66 games, best in the NBA, and winning the Title from one year to the next.

so, following years of domination by two smaller market teams, we have-literally overnight- a series of Miraculous trades and dealings, with incredibly coincidental circumstances, at the same exact time, which led to the sudden rebirth of the lakers-celtics rivaly, and all these incredible things which led to these two teams suddenly becoming Dominant played out entirely by chance, of course
