The camera seems to get knocked around a bit, a minute ago there was a crystal clear shot of the oil coming out. The actual leak appears to be very small, with enormous pressure behind it. Maybe it blew open more, and that’s what fucked up the shot.

Come on Coach, you know as well as I do that Obama is not an environmentalist. He is a politician. I am sure he does not have an advanced degree in environmental studies. How the heck is he supposed to know exactly what to do? This is why presidents hire mental health advisors, medical advisors, environmental advisors, etc. A republican president wouldn't know what to do. Do you really think Bush is up to par with environmental knowledge and ethics

How anyone can think this leak has anything to do with political party ios beyond me

I think that at this pt it is such a huge disaster there are no easy fixes.
The thing to do was to REGULATE the oil companies with stringent independent inspectors to prevent this crap from happening in the first place.
I think we all agree this volunteer based self inspection system is a disaster.
