Question to all Americans...
« on: June 09, 2010, 04:59:32 AM »
who have travelled abroad (I'm basically talking bout Europe) What is y'alls opinion of the European folk? In my experience the Brits have been the biggest wankers, and the coolest dudes that I met where Italian fellas, and the Scandos were pretty cool as well.

I agree about Brits. Most of the ones I meet are kinda assholes.

Back home some of my best buds are Icelandic and they are really, cool, interesting folk. They talk and are built like Arnold S too.

Most Italians i've met are annoying too. Arrogant, metrosexual, loud, act innappropriately.

Most Eastern European people i've met are really cool.

I'm not interested in travelling Europe though. I like to be in gritty and dangerous places with soul. Europe sounds like it's mostly rude overly-civilized people.

I lived in Iceland for 2 years and thought majority of them were boring.  Zero sense of humor and very far from all being built like Arnold.  The women often had girls from Scandanavian countries visit, and they were usually very cool.

English.....women were cool, guys were wankers, unless they were from the more rural areas.

Germans....odd sense of humor, but got along well with them.

Italians.....sleazy greaseballs.

French......snobish in Paris, but ok in the smaller towns.

Yeah in my experience, most Germans were rather cold and aloof. I met a few Aussies, and they were cool as he!l 8)

Aussie women were VERY cool.....they often would be at the Oktoberfest on one of their long holiday vacations.  I understand they save up time off and then will take like a whole month to travel thru europe, etc...

French waiters seemed kind of rude.

For people familiar, where in Italy would be a good place to spend a vacation?  Would you also try to go to the French Riviera or skip it?

I preferred northern Italy.....the larger cities are quite nasty and congested......anywhere in the countryside is pretty nice.

Never went to the French riviera......but if you do, will you be posting photos from the errrrrr "liberal" beaches?  ;D

Maybe, but of course as "prudish" as I am I will black out all the "nuditity."

You don't like southern Italy?

Not as much as northern.  The food was great everywhere in Italy.  I just like a little more laidback place when vacationing/traveling than southern Italy.
