How can you accurately assess and determine if a child is innocent or not before you save it?
Are you serious? What would a 3 or 5 year old be guilty of? Before the age of say, 10 yrs(it varies), a child is still in a state of innocence. They lack that vanity and self awareness that one gets certainly by the time of puberty. A three year old has not developed that three dimensions that a person develops as they spend some time on this earth: Your public life, your private life, and your secret life. Or as T.S. Eliot put it: "To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet."
With a child, what you see is what you get. No pretense or phony affectations.
You're a thinking man -- or at least try to be. And it seems that many thinking men go through a state of existential nihilism in this modern age where life seems to be devoid of any and all transcendent meaning. It comes as no surprise. Just don't play games with yourself and lie to yourself and needlessly obfuscate an issue.
"How can you accurately assess and determine if a child is innocent or not before you save it?"
PLEASE!
"Throughout my career in emergency medicine I have been amazed at the human capacity for self-delusion; we are the only animal in nature that can lie to itself. We do it so well that the majority of people are totally unaware of what motivates their actions, most people do not act to achieve consciously named goals; rather, they act to placate subconscious psychological value conflicts."
