Lower Back advices

I managed to pull my hamstring quite badly last saturday, apparently its going to take 4 weeks to heal up.

In the meantime I cant dead lift, or do roman chair hyperextensions....is there anything else I can do for lower back in the meantime? I cant actually think of anything that wont put some pressure on the hamstrings?

I think supermans on the floor don't activate the hamstrings. Ab wheel rollouts active lower back to some extent, those can be quite good with a high enough volume. I'm not 100 % sure if these are safe for you though.

4 weeks aint going to kill you...just train back as usual (unless something hurts the hamstring like a deadlift)..anything seated upright should be O.K., although you may have to train a little lighter.

Rest is the key...trying to work around it might be more counter productive in the longrun, and lead to straining OTHER muscles...

Rest. Your up shits creek for now. Heel up and resume your regimine and start LIGHT. Don't mangle your back, bro.

Yup.  I tore my hamstring last November, rushed back, and ended straining my entire lower ab section because I was overcompensating for the injured hamstring.

I do think you should keep the blood flow going though.  I've been told "active" rest is best.
