Alredy got a phone and an mp3 player. And the screen on it is way to small to be a web browser, or Ereader. It's a fashion accessory. People are gonna use it for two things that are all ready being done for  way cheaper with the added bonus of not being a total yuppie. You guys can say "no no but it's shiny", still ain't buy it. But not having the latest trinket might make you "unhappy". Please if your gonna buy it don't justify it, your not gonna do anything your not already doing, just look "cool".

In all honesty, your Android phone probably does more than the iPhone 4.  This coming from an iPhone 3G owner.  I can't wait for my contract to end this fall so I can go back to Verizon and get the Droid X.   I'm sick of Apple hyping "new" features that other phones have been doing for months or years.

Android is better...Plus it's good when you can make phone calls that actually reach the person you call...That's a great luxury you can't get with an Iphone..

I don't know how it is in the rest of the county, but, this is definitely true in NYC. Verizon has much better reception.

I have an I-pod touch. Great product for music and wifi. So,  I don't see a reason to continually get the latest phone, just so I hope that no one calls me on it.

Because android is clunky, and seems like a beta OS compare to the Iphone's OS. I wish android users would grow up, so your phone isn't the best hardware on the market. Having a bitch fit isn't going to change that.

Iphone has the os on the market. and many reviews say it is the best smartphone on the market too.
when looking at hardware, you don.t look for one great thing,( i.e. cam), you look at the product as a whole.

I read many of the reviews on Verizon. A common complaint was the short battery life. Is this true? That's what I hate about my current phone.  I'm eligible for a new one in a few months, but, I don't want to have the same problem.

If Android is so great, why aren’t you (and other Android fans) posting about it in an Android thread?  Come to think of it, why aren’t there any Android threads here?  Why aren’t there throngs of people lined up outside Android vendor stores across the country waiting for days to buy one?  Why isn’t the national and local news media interviewing all the interested Android buyers?

Here and elsewhere online it is amusing to see so many people, like yourself, who are ostensibly not interested in the iPhone spending so much of their time and energy paying attention to it.

So true.  AT&T sucks.  I was in West Virginia a couple weeks back and my co-worker who had an iphone couldn't make a call while I was on my blackberry using verizon with no problem.
