If the afghan army was carrying NAZI elite military flags, I don't think we'd be saying it was a rock band reference... we'd probably be saying these folks are emulating or admiring a group that did a lot of violent things in secrecy.
Itd be one thing if that logo was ONLY a nazi logo, but it has been used ALL over the place for decades, probably even before them.
The swastika is universally the Nazi logo - not the SS. Fuck, should we ban the german flag because its indicative of the Nazis's? Tell them to stop speaking German, cause its what the Nazi's spoke? Where does it end?
