Legit question for you guys...

Ok...we all know how bad it went for Vince when he tried to compete with the NFL.  My question is this...with the popularity of MMA...why doesnt Vince do something with it?  Start his own fed...or maybe get into something like Strikeforce or bring K-1 to USA?  Anyone's thoughts?

The credibility to the general public would be next to nothing with Vince involved.  Too many would assume it was a work, like wrestling.  i wish he would and go bankrupt.....

I think the old man has learned his lesson - stick to what you know.
Vince knows entertainment.
He’s expanded into movies now, and that‘s a good place for him to be.

And, as Showstoppa mentioned, it would be next to impossible to legitimize anything Vince does as a real contest.
I still remember cringing when he produced a cheesy, scripted, backstage XFL segment.

Every once in a while, there are rumors that another McMahon may toss his hat into the MMA ring.
Time will tell.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more UFC/WWE links.  Apart from Rampage Jackson on Raw, which wasn't anything to do with UFC, there's been nothing.  With the boxing celebs we've seen in the past (Tyson, Mayweather), and the growth of MMA, I think it's only a matter of time before we see some guys coming over for guest appearances.

It'd be interesting to see Brock or Lashley in the ring again!

As for his own promotion, I can't see that happening.  Vince has his wrestling empire, which has taken time to build and evolve into the PG product we see now.  He wouldn't want to enter into another sport where he was at risk of drug scandals!

i wouldn't be surprised...or at least someone might pass on some things they read.  When I went back into the reserves, we did some compiling of info on new stories regarding the US military from all over the world.  We archived it and read thru it, trying to get a feel for local attitudes, etc...  I would be very surprised if pro wrestling, which relies so heavily on fan support, doesn't do something similar.

If so.......hire us all !!!!!  At least let us run one program for you!!! hahaha
