Ditto he isn't even trying.

Don't know what his gameplan is, but he needs to do something or else his 11-win streak is gone.

oh never mind....another contraversal decision by a contraversal ref.....what a shock...it only looked like a tap in slow motion...

No I disagree he tapped and even at full speed he tapped...shame though b/c he did have him, he should have not pushed the envelope he had the fight won he should have tied him up and done enough work to not get stood back up...

boring ass fight.  sonnen takes him down and just does little girl punches like a bitch that do no damage.  judges should penalize for that shit and ref should make them stand up.

by all means if the guy is dropping bombs dont stand them up, but sonnen wasnt.  he was just doing little sissy hits.
I dont like twinks.

Anderson had a rib injury that prevented him from moving the way he normally does. Crazy fight!

Another fucking excuse from these guys....how many ACTUALLY come in injury free and 100% healthy?  NOT ONE!

Dana sucked Silva's cock right after the fight with a "you're fucking awesome" comment to him.....wow...isnt this the guy who made Dana look like a fuck stick at Abu Dabi?

It was pretty evident that something was up with him. The usual spider movement wasn't there. He was getting caught on his feet and his hip movement on the ground was not what it normally is.

Nonetheless props to chael.

I have to disagree that this was a boring match, I thought it was pretty damn good.

I think he tapped but if I were the ref I tell each fighter before the match that if you intend to tap keep tapping like a mad man until I break it up. If not, you are going to sleep or get something broken.

With submissions you can be more lenient. Let it go longer. No real permanent damage will happen even with a knee bar. I want the fighters to learn to really tap and none of this half ass one tap thing. I don't want any second guessing and with submissions there's no reason for it.

It's the strikes you have to worry about. Sometimes you can't tap and there you can do some real damage. That's why Herb Dean is so good.

Where in the first 3 rounds was someone just laying down on someone else?

I don't know what fight you were watching but I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The pre-fight hype machine, the edge of your seat feel, the shocking domination of the perceived best fighter in the world and the crazy holy shit ending.

Some thoughts.  First, Chael already admitted to tapping in the post fight press conference.  Also, the ref had to tell Anderson to release the hold multiple times.  Anderson wouldn't until there was no doubt that it was a tap.  Lastly, Chael's camp is known for "short" taps that the refs don't see but result in the opponent releasing the hold.  Linland has done it in the past,  So has Chael.  It didn't work this time.

Yes, his movements were not there. He was not ballroom dancing this time.

I bet he will retire rather than face Sonnen in a rematch.

This fight had it all IMO. The hype, the underdog demolishing the champ with his unique style for 5 rounds, knowing all along that Anderson could end it all in a split second made this fight one of the best in recent MMA.

I wanted Chael to win because I dislike Anderson's antics in the octagon, but at the same time, Anderson put on a great fight and earned a ton of respect for his heart. Anderson in definitely one of the best MMA has ever seen.

I've said it before here; the way to beat Silva is to use the strategy Henderson used during the first round of their fight.  Crazy Sonnen did just that for five rounds...minus the last minute sub.
