Love Cro Cop, but at this point, Mir is lightyears ahead of him.

Mir really only has the clear advantage on the ground, his wrestling dissappeared due to his  accident , Cro cop can pretty much sit back and kickbox with Mir unless one of his kicks get caught or Mir pushes him against the cage and gets a takedown from there.  They both mentally fold and Frank gets about as much miles per gallons as a hummer.  I like cro cops chances, I'd say it's 50/50.

Wasn't Mir the UFC champ on a few different occasions?  Isn't he still a top ranked heavyweight?

Chute, I really respect your insight into this sport, but 50/50?  We've all seen Cro Cop's last few UFC fights.  He's basically a non threat these days.  

Mir hasn't looked all that great either in his last few fights, Cro-cop is at least riding a 2 fight win streak, whilst Mir is coming off being raped by a bear, that is never a good thing mentally.  Stylistically Mir has got to get the fight to the ground in order to win, Mir comes out in a southpaw stance and usually does ok against orthodox fighters on the feet, Cro-cop is'nt an orthodox fighter.  Stylistically speaking this is an even fight, since Mir is gonna be banking on the takedown to work his bjj, and cro-cop is gonna be looking at avoiding the takedown and and just workin his standup.  The longer the fight goes the better it looks for Cro-cop, Mir is notorious for being a 1 round fighter.

Mir is delusional and getting outclassed by EVERYONE, at this point he's just a gatekeeper or stepping stone... Cro Cop since leaving Pride has been afraid to pull the trigger and engage, he was always a careful/cautious fighter but it's bordering on ridiculous he's so afraid to engage there's no point him being in the cage anymore. I think Gonzaga did more damage to his psyche than anyone is willing to admit.

I just see this as a very boring fight. I think Mir will win, but I never count Cro Cop out when he stands. Mir is a can and Cro Cop is washed up. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Well you say he's a nobody, etc, but he's been title holder twice.  To say hes a nobody is a tad rough, no?
