first, im not saying it cant happen..........it could happen tomorrow,,,,,,,but the science they use to say that we are "due" is always questionable, and a lot more error-frought then most would expect
in the 70s acid rain was goning to kill us all in.........in the 80s ted danson said "scientists" said the oceans would be dead in ten years.........in the 90 oprah told us that by the year 2000 1 in 4 people would die of AIDS
also, their estimates about the damage this thing coudl do is probably highly exaggerated., and the worst case scenerio used
look at this last oil spill.,,,,,,,,,,,they were saying "the gulf would be contaminated FOREVER"..........."fishing industry crippled for DECADES"......."large tracts of land will ahve to ba abandoned FOREVER"
and here we are a month later..........and everything is pretty much back to normal...........fishin has resumed...............mu ch of the oil has been degraded and bronken up by the SUN
FEAR SELLS........they love to push fear on us
i am by no means saying that this thing couldnt kill us...............im just saying a lot of things were supposed to kill us all, and none of them seem to ever pan out
