I disagree on a few key pts here, let me explain:
1. Seeing a greatly ENHANCED bodybuilder is a freakish sight. Sure, it is has high visual impact, but mostly due to shock and awe.
A great physique should be like a great work of art. Even Arnold said that.
2. To me it is not a purely natty vs drugs debate but one of extreme use and building distorted , freakish physiques.
The woman pros have alreayd jumped the shark and the men are now close behind.
3. The biggest bodybuilding productions are those in the IFBB , UNtested pro contests and the expos with them.
If a top natty contest could afford the same quality top notch production, they would also be great events.
Being natural is alright for people just doing their sport as a hobby. They can even compete in their own little shows.
BUT; when it comes to being a professional athlete there is no point being natural. Pros in any sport are doing their thing for audience at the end. People watching them run 100m under 10 seconds or posing on stage are paying their wages. And then athletes must deliver interesting shows!
Talking about natural professional athletes in any sport is ridiculous. Who wants to watch some fat dude running 100 meters in 12 seconds or watch skinny guys on stage flexing their girly arms? NOBODY!
Professional sports without drugs is like watching racing contests driven with stock Nissan Micras. End of topic.
