in not a conspiracy theorist......but there is a cabal of global elites who want to strip nations of their sovereignty and people of their liberty
The main tool used for this are "fiat currencies" especially the US dollar as it is the reserve currency of the world. This currency can be created at essentially no cost by the small group of people who control it. This inherently worthless currency can then be exchanged for things of real value such as oil, and can be used to "steer" the global economy, with the help of it's derivatives
I know it sounds counterproductive, but it is in the best interests of freedom that these currencies are destoyed as they are the lifeblood of those corrupt in power. There are very simple ways that citizens can achieve this goal rather quickly, but it requires co-operation and timing on a mass scale as to be practically unachievable.
But in my analysis of the situation (by much reading of economists who know their stuff and aren't afraid to tell the truth) regarding the world economy, the total failure of our current fiat currency regimes is a certainty due to government policies in conjuction with overwhelming market forces that are beyond the control of global elites as you put it. It is only a matter of time.
The global financial crisis was the first major crack to appear in the system and there will be more to come in the future.
One simple thing the everyday person can do to help themselves is to store some of their savings in the form of gold or silver and store it outside the "System". This slowly starves the financial system and those who control it and give power back to the people.
