Fall asleep on methamphetamines?....uhh... not bloody likely..

MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy, often abbreviated "E" or "X") is an entactogenic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine families.

MDMA is not a stimulant; it merely shares a phenylethylamine structure with  amphetamines. MDMA has little adrenergic and noradrenergic actions and act mostly on the indolamine, serotonin. It actually mellows you out.

LOL, you should get into rehab, son.

yeah, i should.  :D

actually im not a pill head. but i know M like the back of my hand.

i can tell you good M from it's smell and its taste. good M will have a smell reminiscent of black licorice to it. it'll taste very bitter. almost like an acidic compound of some nature- but it is very distinctive, almost numbing as well. in bulk (say an ounce) it'll look like anything from brown sugar to a harder more flaky darker substance- think something like little shards of glass the colour of coffee- typically this stuff will smell like sassafras (sp?) or more chemically by nature. it should be easily crushed with a little pressure into a finer powder- if you need a coffee grinder to crush it then it's prolly MCPP- a metabolite of the M family passed off as MDMA.

there is zero stimulant effect to MDMA, actually it'll make you too mashy at some doses.

a lot of people mistakenly believe M to have stimulant like properties because it is the primary compound in a tablet of ecstasy- but it isnt the M that gives you the speed type feeling off a pill, its the other adulterants they add to it, such as ephedrine, caffeine and in some cases crystal, though not often.

here ends your crash course in MDMA.

Just a bit related here but this movie talk stuff brings back memories which some of you might be interest in.

Regarding movie production costs and eventual profits ......

Back in the 60's some of the stunt guys and gals and regular extras used to "barrow"  from the major studios whatever they needed to make a 'quickie flicker' on the weekends.

These were usually motorcycle movies because most of the guys/gals had bikes and somehow these flicks eventually got released to foreign distributors (mostly Asian theaters) and a few of the remaining drive in theaters throughout the US as second features.

If there was any profit, it was shared equally.

I didn’t have a bike, so I was usually the dead guy that the bikers ran over. (I never got paid!)

It was very important to get the ‘borrowed stuff’ back to the studios early Monday mornings before  it was discovered missing, but I think that the studio heads knew what was going on all the time and didn’t press the issue.

DR, Whatever happened to 2nd features and all those old time mortorycycle movies?

Low budget movies are still around. They're just called 'independent' pics, now, and usually funded by some distributing arm of one of the majors to maintain some semblance of 'indie' cred. Easy Rider renewed interest in the motorcycle flick, just putting counter-culture spin on The Wild One (which is now kinda lame). There were lots of them. I remember William Smith was in a slew of them and I think I remember seeing Joe Namath in one!? They tried to romanticize the biker, The Hell's Angel, and (I might be wrong here) Sonny Barger had something to do with one. He's not a very romantic guy. They just went out of style.
