it's pretty obvious that Dexter should win.

He has by far the best looking physique of the line up, but he doesn't have enough size to beat Jay, Phil or Branch.

Spot on, and I think the reason is obvious.  Clearly he upped the dosage while keeping the amount of grapefruit the same.  There is a synergistic effect when used in the proper ratios, and he apparently thought he was too good to follow one of the simple rules of bb'ing.
