The "T" is for "transgender."  This is part of the problem with homosexual marriage and gays in the military.  It's not just about gays and lesbians, but "bisexuals," transgender, and the new category of "gender identity or expression."

The military is not the place for self expression. All faggs should be able to fight. But non-faggs should not be subjected to Judy Garland, Rainbow Flags, gay pornography and being forced to watch fagg sensitivity training videos.

Case closed.

Our allies allow gays to serve openly in their military

How come we never hear of any problems when their troops do joint missions with our troops.

if openly gay soldiers caused all the "issues" that proponents of don't ask don't tell say it does then why don't we refuse to do joint operations with those countries?

I don't get everyone's confusion. You can be a gay man in the military, it's not against the law. Here's the thing, not all but most homosexuals, that part of their life is their entire identity, everything surrounds and revolves around them being gay...that's a major problem. So the deal is, be gay if you want, join the military if you want, fine, just keep your personal info to yourself.

I would agree with most of that but part of DADT was that someone could accuse another of being a homosexual (as retaliation for example) and get them fired.
It's not just about someone's conduct and behavior in the military but also their personal life.
So it is not only for the little butterflies, the effeminate and "pride parade" type of gays (whose behavior does not fit with military conduct), it's also about people who keep to themselves yet could face discharge by the accusations of someone else (whether they're gay or not).

Good question.  lol.  I've asked the same thing.  I think a transgendered person is someone who is "trapped in the wrong body."  This is probably the person who would get a sex change ("transsexual").  A transvestite is really just a cross-dresser.  I think the new "gender identity" classification is supposed to encompass transgender, transsexual, and transvestite.

Not a expert but wouldn't bisexuals be more welcome in the military then gay men?

No idea.  That category raises its own set of problems.

I served in the Marines and could care less if someone was gay myself.
I honestly think the USA should take care of our own citizens and get out of all the crazy conflicts around the world.
Trade with other nations and take care of our own. end of story.

I like the current policy and think we should keep it, but I'm not losing any sleep over it.  If it happens, it happens.
