Wasn't Steve Wilko once a cop who had an alcohol problem and had charges dropped for smacking a woman around many years ago?

He was a cop.  He worked head of security for the Jerry Springer Show along with other off duty cops.  I have no idea about the alcohol thing.

Big Steve was hugely popular on the Springer Show. Early on Steve had to step between all the mayhem but later he didn't do much and had his stooges do all that. It was always funny watching some of those goons separate the big ladies. They never knew who or what to touch and from their expressions the smell wasn't that great, either. Maybe is was the cheap perfume?

Actually he started off as a Chicago cop, then security for Springer and now has his own show.  He was also a marine for 7 years
