Q for BOB regarding LE and gear

Hey Bob -

I remember that you spent some time in law enforcement, though i dont remember if you rode a desk, car or other.

anyway the question is this: lets say you respond to a simple home disturbance or traffic stop, and in plain sight you find some AAS. The situation is not one where anybody needs to be arrested, so would you overlook the gear -considering that you were probably geared yourself, or had been-    or ...?

(lets assume its not dealer level suitcase full, but personal level stuff)

curious your take and judgment on this

You should not consider a job in LE. Your moral character is obviously lacking.

I think it totally depends on the cop.  Some squeaking clean cops will bust anyone for the most petty things to make themselves look good no matter how much work goes into a small crime.  The cool cops usually weigh the option.   If the cool cop is getting off work shortly and is going to the bars afterward he will not do anything.  He will think to himself...I am not going to do this overtime bullshit for such a small bust.

99/100 cops wouldnt give a crap about it, unless stuff was stacked up like they were running a lab out of there....that said, if you would be stupid enough to have your gear out in plain sight for some unknown reason...it might be grounds for busting your ass for plain stupidity
