Starvation? LOL. That's not even close to the main cause of most of the civilian casualties in Iraq. It was sectarian violence fueled by Iranian money.

Also to note, while I'm not saying people didn't die as a result of those sanctions, the bulk of the evidence regarding the number of deaths comes from Saddam's regime's statistics. Not exactly the most trustworthy of numbers.

Iraq was a powder keg, half the reason the Iran happened was the sunni shite, and kurds isssues. Civil conflict was expected if you knew anything about their history. This is well known.

If Saddam hadn't attacked Kuwait, and in turn, had listened to the UN people, that shit wouldn't have happened.

Libya? Libya had sanctions too, but their sanctions were not as harsh because the government did not try to take over another sovereign nation.

Don't bring up Libya... You can't compare the two because of the circumstances.
