There's a YT guy that has made over $1M by simply looking for what's trending, going to all the walmarts in his area, buying the items out, and then re-selling on ebay.  His biggest winner was some stupid bat and ball set that was apparently really popular a couple years ago.  They would come with the bat, and 4 balls IIRC at walmart for like $10-$20.  He would sell the bat and two balls for $30-$40+, and take two of the remaining balls and sell them for like $10-$20.  Research, timing, and hoarding made him a shit ton of money, because parents cave in to kids whining at Christmas time and will pay any amount when the stores "run out" in their area. 

The really funny thing is that when he would buy all the items out, he would ask a walmart associate when the next shipment was coming and then show up to do it all over again. LOL!
