You are right on the money.  Was talking to some of the guys that were taking care of the Rainbow bridge and Peace bridge.  They were talking about what these archictects want and what can be done safely are two different things.  They laugh at archictects and there was one job that the archictect was so mad he walked out and left.  My family owns a business and I've seen it with what they have to encounter with these people and there half ass designs that when put in real life make no sense.
