China's Ghost Cities
« on: December 17, 2010, 05:25:46 PM »
I saw a news clip about this a while ago, seems it's quite larger of a problem than I initially thought:

Where do you think all of that massive stimulus the Chinese govt. is pumping is going? We've have been over this issue before though. Their numbers are far more cooked than even ours.

Also, due to biological defects in Chinese eye sight, billions of dollars are miscounted, lost, flushed down the toilet or left sticking out of atms.

I read this a while back.  It has been known for sometime but never really brought mainstream with pics like that.

But they are going to have their own bubble burst in about 10 years and it is going to be bad.  Really bad.

Those aren't ghost cities, ...they're residents in waiting.

These are the places that were built to accommodate westerners when the US Dollar tanks, and the US becomes the equivalents of a 3rd or even 4th world country. Those of us in the west that were smart enough to avoid being wiped out by Bernanke will need accommodation in a country with modern amenities and all the luxuries we've become accustomed to.  :)

The only thing you left out is that those days are headed your way too.  I remember when you use to end such comments by noting how Canadians are so much more enlightened and above all these problems...  Kinda been a rude awakening for you lately huh ;)

Chinese idiots. Remember when the Japanese thought they had surpassed the USA and would stay as the number one economy? Too bad the Chinese believe that the same thing won't happen to them.

USA is hurt now. We are limping. But we will recover and be stronger than ever.

As soon as Barry is cock blocked from imposing his regulatory and quixotic quest to destro the nation, we can begin to recover.

Nuh uh. They're not headed MY way. I'll be in that snazzy chic penthouse in Zhengzhou or Zhengdong.

We Canadians ARE much more enlightened and above all these problems.

In fact, this holiday season, consumer spending is very strong with Canadian spending increased over 8% from last year. The best part is that despite the increased spending, over 75% of that is from savings vs. plastic.
