Yeah I've been seeing one for a few months as its paid for by work and I'm trying to spite them. Its nothing to write home about but its relaxing and helps get out the tight knots and shit that would otherwise stiffen to fuck over the years.

I'm sure its been helping with my recovery and flexability as my massage therapists are pretty in tune now. They're both not used to anything other than fat or old people so they're always really enthusiastic. One of my RMTs is also hot as fuck and always loves rubbing my ass and chest. I swear, some of it is strictly for her pleasure because the others don't massage like she does lol

It is very helpful to get knots out of your muscles, which should make you more efficient.

But make sure you get a proper sports massage and not some half-baked feel good treatment. Best place to find good therapists is to go where sprinters train (track and field training center or so) and ask around, as they tend to have the best therapists at better rates than you would find in most places.

I feel a lot better I have some impinged nerves and my spine it twisted in spots. I have really noticed difference.

I don't know how fucked up the situation is in other countries but here in Finland you can't call yourself a massager unless you really have studied to be one.

I go to a Oriental massage place that has RMT. so the health insurance covers 80% of it. Orientals really give a good massage, and they understand the need for a happy ending as well.  Always take a hot bath later though, or you will feel the pain of a deep massage for several days after.

I had chronic elbow and knee pain since Nov 2008 and it got so bad I could not bench or squat. Got some deep tissue work on my quads, and elbows for the last 9 months and it has really finally started to subside the pain.

I found if I go after the days I do Trap bar deadlift and am extremely sore it really helps my recovery in addition to reduction of pain in elbows and knees.

Well worth the investment- just make sure you get a guy with some strong hands to strip down the muscles.
