Israel regrets killing sleeping Palestinian

Israeli troops shot dead a sleeping Palestinian man during a dawn raid in the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

The army says it regrets the shooting in which troops "mistakenly" killed 66-year-old Omar Al Qawasmeh happened early on Friday in the city of Hebron.

Al Jazeera's Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports.
