Hi Bigstacks, like anything else it all depends on the particular brand you're taking.

Acai is a wonderful detoxifier, however it can lose potency & efficacy depending upon how it is processed.

If you're using a product with some integrity, then YES, it's most definitely worth taking.

LOL, CalvinH, I am the same way. It's possible it is not the Acai that has you bouncing off the walls, but rather the caffeine or other stimulant. While Acai is a natural stimulant, some manufacturers will put stimulants into their Acai products, due to the nature of Acai itself. It's nutritive value degrades rather rapidly after harvesting. It is not a product that stores very well. in order to get the best from it, unless you're picking it from the palm itself and consuming it right away, you're going to have to rely on the frozen pulp which doesn't travel well. By the time it reaches us in North America, it has often lost many of it's qualities for which it is so highly prized.

If you are able to find a good quality Acai product, you will not bounce off the walls. You will experience the natural stimulating effects and increased mental alertness, in a sustained extended way, but without the rapid rush, and crash so frequently experienced with caffeine.

I managed to kick my Dr. Pepper addiction a while back, however I did have a few glasses of it Friday night, I ended up awake all day Friday, all throughout the night Friday night, and all day Saturday. I finally crashed into a coma around 2 am this morning.

Have you ever encountered Red Bull? You'll be wired for days!

I took them a few hours ago. Vitamin C is better absorbed with phytochemicals, but the amount in all fruits, including açaí, is too small. Vitamin C is best at multiple gram doses and that is not possible to be obtained from foods.
