I just can tell you: i am very close to what has happened, have felt the earthquake but nothing has happened here. In this sense i am very far away from it all.

I make stupid comments here as well, if i can't laugh a bit of it off, i will go crazy. I turned off the TV 30mins ago because i couldn't stand it anymore.

Humor is ok, as long as it isn't too far overboard like some people here who don't realize it. Just my 2cc.

My cousin is a Navy lieutenant Colonel aboard an aircraft carrier off the coast of Japan. His wife and kids hopefully weren't exposed to the earthquake on the mainland. I have yet to get an update from him by phone or email. I'm sure if something horrible happened I would have heard by now.   Hoping for the best....

I have alot of family over there and they are pretty much saying that the damage is pretty localized to certain areas. If you let me know where you think they are Ill try and get some info for you.

Sorry it took so long to answer. My cousin's wife and kids live in Yokosuka-shi, Kanagawa, Japan.

Everyone is ok, glad to say. Cousin called my uncle the other day gave the good news. Unreal how much damage occurred. Body count still climbing.
