I know there is alot of El Debarge fans out there and some of you will take this as a Godsend but El has finally checked himself into rehab. Lets wish him the best of luck and continued success that only GetBiggers can do.

Though he's been on a major comeback -- his first album in 16 years got two Grammy nominations -- the latest news may not surprise readers of last month's Style profile of the '80s R&B superstar. While DeBarge professed to have been sober for two years (since a prison stint for drug possession), our colleague Lonnae O'Neal Parker described some erratic behavior -- a club appearance delayed and a photo shoot canceled, both because of "food poisoning"; a stage performance he abruptly exited for an hour. In a statement Tuesday, DeBarge apologized to fans but said he needs "to work on me so that I may continue to share my music and my story with everyone."
