Shot would already be happening if people could stand discomfort.... The problem is, the technology today has allowed them to manipulate people in such a way, that'd be impossible at this point to start anything, you'd just be branded as a terrorist and the whole country would clap as they lock you up and swallow the key. Times are different. People are different. The people are being so wholly manipulated by the system thy trust that they'll never rise up in revolt, they'll just say "vote the other party in next election, that'll fix it" 
Then have backing from the porn industry
. Seriously, the people in power watch that stuff, and pretend they don't...I've been told that a lot of senators go to downtown Georgetown for some BDSM fun.
Once you have backing from a certain block, you have to allow the people to forge ahead, it's a calling card.
My mother once said, don't let anybody blackmail you, just admit to it, because most of the time, it's not as bad as what you may think...
Social media can be a good or a bad thing, thing is, people are too jaded, but need leadership...this generation needs leaders, they don't have anything, other than stars who have no talent---these people are easily manipulated...
