Back on the iron after 2.5 months
« on: March 13, 2011, 05:08:32 PM »
I had a 2.5 month layoff and just got back on the iron, had 2 workouts.

One thing I learned from this is that IF YOU BUILD QUALITY NATURAL MUSCLE, YOU KEEP IT EVEN DURING LONG LAYOFFS.

My first workout was chest and shoulders. I was looking flat and feeling weak after 2.5 months off. But once I did a couple warm up sets I realized I had barely lost and strength, maybe a 5% strength loss.

After that workout I had an awesome pump and my body just seemed to bounce right back to where it was 3 months ago. My body felt so flat before the workout, but after the workout it's like I awoke the great sleeping giant and he was back in full force.

Then I trained back and biceps next time. I lost maybe 5-10% strength in my back, no big deal. My biceps seem stronger than ever though, after a couple warmup sets of curls I realized my curl is the same as it always was. And looking in the mirror, I look fucking awesome. Fucking badass.

During my 2.5 months off I burned off a lot of fat. Lost about 10 pounds. So now i'm in lean mode, lean, vascular, abs, muscles, winning.

It's great being naturally pimpin' like me. I bet you wish you were me.

I find that it's always nice to get back after some time off.

Me too. I'm just surprised that I barely lost any strength and aestetically my body seemed to go right back to where it was before. Looks even better actually, since i'm leaner now.

I think most conventional wisdom of weight lifting is bullshit. My body keeps showing me this over and over.

That's pretty impressive ma man! 2 and a half months off and only a 5% loss in strength. So you say that you're leaner now right? So I'm curious if you have any clue how much muscle you have lost after the 2 and a half month lay-off?

Yeah I got veins popping out of my traps. Starting to get visible veins in lower abs. I'm not good with %, but I would guess i'm at like 10 or 11 or something like that.

Sub 7. Come contest time i'll be there. Maybe i'll take some diuretics and give myself an enema with pure salt. Or do some other fucked up pro boduilerish stuff. I'm fittin to get ripped though.

Actually I was doing yoga, bicycling and climbing on a plastic rock wall a lot.

I wasn't just sitting on my ass not doing shit. Just took a break from lifting.

Big talk coming from a gay looking queen with a jerry curl.

Let's see what you can do without gear. You probably can't hang with me without your injections.

By the way, Prince, Michael Jackson and Richard Simmons called. They are pissed that you stole their style.

I took a 3 month layoff a few years back when in school. Studying & partying 5-6 days a week in college doesn't leave much room for working out.

Anyways, getting back in the gym...all of my lifts went down considerably and I looked and felt worse.

Now for you to say that in 10 weeks you only lost 5-10% in strength then you never had much muscle to begin with and you were a weakling from the start.

If you were benching 95lbs 2.5 months ago and now you're doing like 85lbs then your post makes sense.

Serioulsy, does anyone on this god damn board workout ...except for a few established posters.

You must be one of gay jtsunamis gimmicks

 Whatever you say "fuck".

Maybe you're just angry that I am better than you?

Don't try to compete with me, you'll never win. Just watch in awe kid.

You're probably a fat man. That's why you reacted differently than a lean machine like myself.
