Josh Barnett:"I Don't Want Fedor To Retire."
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:21:44 AM »
The former UFC heavyweight champion saying flat out that Fedor is the G.O.A.T and that he shouldn't retire. Just another professional MMA fighter who regards Fedor as either G.O.A.T or greatest heavyweight ever. Do you know the two things that Shogun, GSP and Anderson Silva have in common? First, they are all UFC division belt holders. Second, they all regard Fedor as either the G.O.A.T or greatest heayweight ever. GSP and Shogun consider him the G.O.A.T, and Anderson regards him as the greatest heavyweight ever. That must be bad for Dana White, to have the winners of 4 UFC belts say Fedor is the greatest ever.

Oh, I forgot to say that Ken Shamrock, the guy doing the interview, also regards Fedor as the G.O.A.T :D

They're all UFC fighters now. Why would Dana care?

I was shocked to see that Barnett would dare to take Dana's balls out of his mouth and discuss anything other than his newfound respect of Uncle Dana, but then I realized this video is a month old.  Good for Barnett.

I'd like to see a Mir/Barnett fight.  Both old school fighters.  Both not top dogs.  Both very experienced.

I would like to see that as well because I think Barnett would win by TKO in the first round. Mir is a glorified can. If SF and UFC merge HW divisions, the whole lot of the UFC HW division will be cleaned out with the exceptions of Velasquez and JDS.

Explain this.  What do you mean cleaned out?  By strikeforce HW's?    If that's what youre saying, you're wrong.  Carwin, Mir, Lesnar, and dare I say Country could all pose viable threats to most in Strike.  You act as though these guys are horrible.  They've all won impressive wins.

I also stick by my thoughts on Mir.  He is still a threat.

Josh Barnett is Fedor's favorite MMA fighter, and not only among heavyweights, but in all weight classes. He regards Barnett as the most well-rounded, intelligent and experienced fighter and he loves Barnett's fighting style and tenacity.

Coltrane, I don't know if you are criticizing my grammar and orthography or trying to insult me somehow saying that I am the G.O.A.T. This is why I am asking you to clarify. If you are criticizing my grammatical skills, I assure you that my English is better than yours, which is amazing given that it is not my native tongue...

Me calling you the GOAT is sarcasm.  Really, you need to stop being so offensive on this board.  You're just about the one guy that I can't seem to have normal convos with on here.  You drag the board down in all honesty.

Nelson= got owned by Arlovski; a guy who is probably out of MMA after losing 6 of his last 7 fights by KO

Carwin may never fight again.

Mir is a fucking joke.

JDS and Velasquez are top talents. Brock Lesnar is a sideshow freak who cant fight for shit. Every other HW in the division is one dimensional or washed up.

SF has better HW's. I said it before and I'm saying it now.

Well, lets just wait and see.  Hopefully ufc will mix up integrate some strikeforce fighters with that of the ufc's.

You keep calling mir and the rest of the bunch jokes, but in reality they've all had decent wins.  Every fighter, ufc or not, you can criticize in one way, shape or form.  Making a blanket statement that all ufc heavys suck (outside of JDS and Cain) is ridiculous.

And did i miss the latest on carwin?  what's this that he may never fight again?

Big Nog at age 40, brain damaged, with premature arthrites on his knees and elbow joints is still probably the best UFC heavyweight. The Nogueira of 2003 would destroy Cain Velasquez without even breaking a sweat. This goes to show how pathetic that a has-been with old man disease is still the best in the UFC heavyweight duivision. Sure, Cain would beat Nog now but only because he is so injured - the guy even has hernia.

Nog is not 40 and this is 2010....

Not one poll has Nog anywhere near the top. I guess your "expert" opinion is better than hundreds of real, documented experts?

Why do you care anyways, you keep telling us you will no longer follow MMA, but you keep coming back for more.

It's ok...you can admit that you will watch the UFC.

Weight:  who do you have in Bones/Rua??

I got Bones.  He has the size, reach, and his wrestling/takedowns/GnP will take care of the rest. This pretty much neutralizes any of Rua's strengths.

You add all of this up, PLUS the long time-off for Rua, and I am confident Jones will be the new LHW champ.
