The first ever Mr. Olympia Euro Amateur Bodybuilding Championships wrapped up earlier today in London. Sami Al Haddad of Bahrain won the "up to 90kg" class, the overall, and obtained IFBB Pro Status. If that isn't enough, Haddad won the right to compete this evening in the British Grand Prix. Hadded will compete in the 202 & Under Class and battle with pre-contest favorite Flex Lewis.

Crownshep said he heard from muscletalk.co.uk that Swampi turned down the pro card ??? which would be odd as there is an interview with him after winning saying he would take on the 202 guys

Of course he wouldn't turn pro.  The government in his country pay their athletes to compete in their yearly shows and if he turned pro, he would no longer get any money because the shows are for amateur athletes only.

He declined the Pro Card,

meaning Thomas Bures turned pro and competed in the open with Branch and the other guys

Pro debut after the amateur runner up spot yesterday.
Good balance of size and conditioning but out massed tonight but certainly not on his calves!! Puts some to shame there.....

He knows that turning pro would push him to do steroids to play the size game. A man of his integrity, imagine that. At the same time, there's still plenty of oily goatkeeper-turned-prince schmoes to live off.
