Mutation is something you're born with and manifests itself when the mutant hits puberty.

The Hulk isn't a mutant - he had a unique accident as an adult, which caused him to change.

But anything goes in the Marvel universe, I suppose. Someone like Man of Steel or Fatpanda would know.

This is true for genetic mutants like the X-Men or Franklin Richards, but mutations can be triggered by environmental factors.  I think the Hulk is an example of this.

Alright then. I thought you had to be a real mutant, meaning be born with the genetic abnormality, for Rogue to be able to "borrow" your power.

Why would you think that?  On many occasions Rogue has absorbed some or all of the power/abilities of people who are not genetic mutants.  Ms. Marvel for example.

If you read Wolverine Origin, you'll see that he had the claws from a early age...

Also, Rogue had to wear gloves...so in order for her to have sex, she'd have to wear a full body condom...

Yes but his claws (and skeleton) were not Adamantium until they worked on him as Weapon X

Because I've only seen a handful of episodes from the animated series and have read even less comics. I'm more of a DC guy than Marvel. So not familiar with stuff like what you've mentioned.

Rogue now has complete control of her powers and can touch anyone and not kill them or manifest their powers if she doesn't wish to do so.

How did this come about?

Was an epiphany of sorts in one of the X books about 5 months back or so. I still read regularly.

Doesn't really answer my question... but ok.

Yeah, but I think he also had the healing factor as well (checks comic books...)

I haven't read any comics, but based on the movies, Rogue can only absorb the mutation powers of other mutants.

The Hulk is not a mutant.

It was not some big thing... It was basically the white queen saying... You've always had the ability, you just don't do it... you're scared.

She stopped being scared, she controlled it... End of story.

It was more of a side item.

Yes... his claws and healing factor are his mutant ability... along with the enhanced senses of sight, hearing, and smell.

The adamantium could only be added to him BECAUSE he had that healing factor and wouldn't die from the injection process.
