What will history reveal about the Libya mess?
« on: March 31, 2011, 10:11:36 AM »
we're all arguing the day-to-day bullshit now.

What will we see decades later, when things are dclassified, wikileaks and others involved come fwd?  Will this end up being nothing more than another US overthrow of a foreign nation so we can pipe that oil to our european allies?  Will the new rebel leader who lived in virgina for 20 years (bwaahahaha) be nothing more than a US puppet?  Will libya be small and no biggie, compared to the bigger afghan and iraq wars (which will still be going for years...)?

Obama's 2nd Waterloo and epic disaster

if you can claim a 2nd waterloo, then the 1st one never really took ;)

And if kadaffi's in the dirt, rebels are playing ball, and no US lives are lost, it's a win, like it or not.  He GOT a guy that killed americans.  Nobody will stand up in 2012 and say "we should have left the guy who bombed a US airliner alone!"

They bitch now, but they'll STFU if it's a win.

Most Americans don't give a flying fuck about Gadhafi, an irrelevant cockroach. More Americans were against this intervention than in favor of it and public opinion certainly isn't swinging towards being in favor of it. Getting Gadhafi isn't going to change shit.

Swing and a miss....again.

Obamacare was the first waterloo leading to the disaster in the midterms for him.

Most Americans don't give a flying fuck about Gadhafi.

Obama will stand on the debate stage and say, "Gadaffi killed 200-something americans.  Raise your hand, Mr Pawlenty, if you would prefer that MFcker was still in power..."

The repub will then have to hem and haw about some minor point of how obama handled it (appearing petty in the process) then will return to say "yes, I am glad we killed the guy who killed americans".

Obama kills a terrorist leader, it's a win.  Sorry.  It is.  If Kadaffi is sitll in charge in 2012, it's a major obama LOSS as well.

good personal attack.

no need to tell me why that sstatement is wrong.  Nope, making a wet dream joke is far more effective here.  I like that.  Cum.  Sperm.  Nice!  Really adds something useful to the debate and doesn't do anything to wreck a thread where your ass is being handed to you.

And then Pawlenty will point out the billions of dollars Obama wasted on this mission as well as how Gadhafi's tyrant son is now the leader of Libya after winning the election and knock your Messiah back down to reality.  :D

If Gadhafi even goes. You know that report you posted about Sirte falling the other day? It was all bullshit. What is true is that Gadhafi's forces are, once again, gaining momentum. Guess that's what happens when a rebel fighting force barely totals 1,000 fighters.

Obama's Waterloo, indeed.

What will we learn? That Qaddafi has information that would/will severely embarrass France and England. The Arab League really doesn't like him anyway, so they aren't going to raise a stink. So we will find out that AQ is chest deep in the uprising, that we are footing the bill so France and Britain can save face.
