Can a christian here define what heaven means to them?
As a child you probably envision heaven as giant playground where you get to do all the fun stuff you can think of, kinda like the movie Ritchie Rich. Where you'll have eternal fun and games. No worries in the world. At least that's how it was for me.
But I've heard from some christians that heaven to them is to walk alongside god and worship him in the most intimate manner which sounds like a hell to me, lol.
Heaven is a reward construct, Hell is a punishment construct...one can think of kids either being rewarded or punished.
From what it seems, the soul goes to the astral plane, and or a demension along side ours, and tends to "stay around"...there are good, bad, and indifferent people---and their souls reflect that.
Maybe Heaven and Hell are just dimensions themselves, that exist along side of our reality.
But, the bullshit starts when religions like Islam start telling people, particularly virgin men, that they can have all the virgin women they want and all this other crap...once you get to Heaven, when other men are having it here on earth. Firstly, you can't have sex in "Heaven" becaus sex is for procreation of Living beings. Secondly, no such thing as "Soul Mate", because souls don't mate, and one's soul can be attracted to other's souls.
Chances are Heaven (good place) and Hell (bad place), came from when our ancestors did things for survival and were rewarded, bad things that happened--death...reward and punishment.
