Fans of the Original Star Wars Trilogy?

Fans of the Original Star Wars Trilogy?

A few years back, a Star Wars fan going by the name of Dr. Gonzo ripped the OOT from laserdisc and made them into four DVDs.
There was one for each movie and a fourth disc of all supplemental material that came with the Laserdisc set.

This project went around the newsgroups and Torrent sites for a couple of years.

Unfortunately, the files have been unavailable for download for quite some time. That is... until now.

There are four active torrent files. There is one for each movie and one for the supplemental disc.

If you want to see the Original Star Wars Trilogy the way it was, and sadly will never be again, well, you owe yourself a look.

Download the torrent files here or here.

This preservation is trying to get as many people to download this set as possible with the hope of keeping this project alive for years to come.

The more people involved, the faster the download, right?

Look, the Star Wars BluRay set is coming in September. With the exception of the deleted scenes from the Original Trilogy that are rumored to be a part of the extras package, the set is sure to disappoint.

Why?

Because first and foremost, we will not be getting the original Original Trilogy.

Don't let a piece of history pass you by.

See the Original Trilogy as you remembered it. May the Force be with you.

I'm noticing more people downloading the three movies than the supplemental disc. ???

Trust me, you want that disc as well.

It is all the extras from the laserdisc set from which this preservation project is based (i.e. the original theatrical versions of the films).

You won't be getting these extras with the BluRay release.

Links to the files are in the first post.

Spread the word. Tell your friends. :)
