Well, to be fair......the Rangers were simply outmatched and inferior, talent-wise to the Capitals.

The Knicks play in the Eastern Conference and that's the only reason that they made the playoffs in the first place. They still need a couple of more pieces in order to be contender.

NYC fans shouldn't feel too horribly let down.

Agree with guts.

Rangers were an 8 vs. 1, and the Knicks were just glad to make the playoffs.  Nothing unexpected really happened, except for the Knicks almost stealing two games, and the Rangers giving the Caps a decent amount of trouble, forcing multiple OT games.

Now if the Knicks acquire Chris Paul and move Billups to the bench to back him up....then the Knicks will make things interesting in the Eastern Conference.

Why wouldn't he? He's almost 35 years old and Paul is a decade younger and a better two-way guard, defensively. I'm sure at this point in his career he wouldn't mind piggy-backing on a talented team for a chance at another ring. He'd still average 20 minutes a game as a valuable reserve.
