The Season of Summer Blockbusters
« on: April 28, 2011, 09:22:00 AM »
Most of you GetBiggers will be spending a good amount of time in dark theaters this summer watching one of more of the following movies.

Of those shown below which ones are you looking forward to seeing and which ones won't you waste your time with?

Here are my picks:

THOR …. Will definite see it but I don’t think it will be a great movie.

PIRATES OF THE CARRABEAN …. Will not see it because I didn’t like the earlier episodes for some unknown reason. Maybe cause I've never been a Jagger fan.

HANGOVER II … Looking forward to seeing this one and will be there the day it opens. I am a hangover fan although I haven’t had one for a hell of a long time.

X … Not sure about this one because I know nothing about it but I only liked the earlier episodes due to the fact that family members were involved.

SUPER 8 …. Will definitely see this one. A Speilberg production.

GREEN LANTERN … Will definitely see it to see how they  handle this old time character.

TRANSFORMERS … NAH! I didn’t like the previous ones.

The Harry Potter one … Nope!

CAPTAIN AMERICA … Will definitely see this one and I have a strong feeling that it will be major hit of this summer season.

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES … Yes cause family members were involved in this one also. I’m also very curious how the apes appear on screen.

Let me also add….

ATTACK THE BLOCK which I hope you all like because ... yada, yada, yada......

OH YEA!

Here in Vegas first run feature theater prices are $3 while in the Los Angeles area those same movies are $10+. I hear theater prices are even higher in NYC.

And who the hell invests in a bag of popcorn now-a-days?

The last time I got a chicken fingers combo at the theater it cost $17.50. Fingers, curly fries, and a drink. I decided to smuggle snacks in from then on.

The Transformers movie has been moved up to Wednesday, June 29.

Transformers will run 2 hours and 33 minutes. Don't drink too much in the theater.
