What truly makes no sense is that expletives such as f*ck are bleeped out. Television supposedly reflects our culture. Unfortunately, people today pepper their speech with expletives. This goes to what I said in another tread about the celebration, indeed glorification of classless folks in the U.S. Nothing identifies being low class more than the way one talks, in my opinion.
Malcom X was told once, "A man curses because he doesn't have the words to express himself", and that is what has happened, people no longer are creative enough to express what's on their minds, and this shows in the music....
And the words are bleeped out, so it has no real effect...just the shock value, which is very little
Sadly, our society is so engrained in Entertainment (like Rome), that we have failed to recognize that we are falling beind...
Exactly, classless folks are celebrated..it's okay to be a douche, it's okay to be a slacker...why? Well, because the Baby Boomer Generation's kids are that...TV refelcts our society sadly, and our society is nothing to be proud of, as of late
