Jon Stewart admits liberal bias in media and dissapointed with Obama

Jon Stewart on Fox News Sunday: “There is a liberal bias”

Jon Stewart sat for a combative interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday this morning. At one point Stewart flat out told Wallace “you are insane” as he stuck to his argument that Fox was an activist propaganda organization compared to The New York Times which Stewart described as just “relentlessly lazy.”

Stewart did admit that, “There is a liberal bias that exists in the media because of the nature of the medium.” He also acknowledged that conservatives have a legitimate gripe against elite media: “People on the right are called racist and called things with an ease that I am uncomfortable with … and I’ve been guilty.”

WALLACE: Are you disappointed in Barack Obama as president?

STEWART: Yes, I think I am.

WALLACE: Do you think he's lived up to his promise to fix the economy?

STEWART: No. I don't know the kind of sway that a president can have on the economy, but do I believe that he is lived up to the promises? No.

He came in and said you can't expect to have a different result with the same people. That was, in many ways, his seminal campaign focus. And all I see as far as economic stewardship are the guys that got us into this mess in the first place.

You look through google and you see a lot of the liberal websites concentrating on Stewart calling Matthews "insane" and calling FOX a bias organization. But, nothing about him stating the obvious that Obama did not live up to what he promised and admitting that liberal bias exists in the media. Not a word about him being "uncomfortable" with how quick the left calls people on the right racists.

Stewart is wrong about NY Times not pushing for a liberal agenda. He obviously has not been reading their op ed pages.
