The way I heard part of the Mozart story was: He loved a woman and she loved him but parental disapproval made the wheels of romance turn slowly, as did Mozart's traveling musician schtick. The promise he showed in childhood wasn't immediately translating into adult success during their courtship and the woman eventually cooled off and gracelessly turned down a marriage proposal from him. The Einstein stuff is kinda true but taken out of context from his bio and I mean waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of context.
When his fist wife Maleva would not give him an easy divorce he tried to be obnoxious and made his list of demands which Maleva laughed at and ripped up. Back 90-100 yrs ago, divorce was a much bigger deal then it is now.

I do like the idea that Mozart thought farts were as funny as I do.
