Overweight bike riders who wear those tight bike racer clothes

What is the deal? I know you've guys seen them---wearing bright ass red and yellow or "French" Blue matching shirts and biker pants...yet they have a gut, and skinny ass legs...and they act so serious too...

WTF is up with that?

I agree, disgusting. Here in Melbourne is seems like it is the thing to do if you are over 50 and have never exercised. The go in and out of cafes at weekends with that lycra on and those clip clop shoes.

Here it's 35-45 yr old seemingly "professional men", as they have those high price bikes, helmets, etc...some have the mirrors on the helmets....some of these dudes spend more time and money it seems on the gear than the actual biking aspect.

It's an ego-driven merry go round with a spritz of midlife crisis.

You would not believe some of the money they're laying down for the bikes, technical clothing, coaches, etc...     All to fart up and down the coast at 14 mph and never learning how to truly suffer on the bike.

We have a lot of those people. I figure they just have a spandex fetish, and just buy the bike to legitimize their kink.   ;D

i worked in shops, they want to spend the money then fuck it - let em. at least they are riding unlike the monsters here who talk about training but dont.

One crazy looking older man, almost Hulk Hogan look like with the hair and all but smaller obviously, used to come to my gym wearing that lycra outfit and a helmet. One of his staple exercises was the behind the back upright row.
