Ron Paul Gaining Momentum in Iowa Straw Poll

I would think that Social Security would be one of the last things to get cut.  I like the idea of people opting out though.  If he cuts the way he says then we should be doing very well at the end of his term.  It would be a very tough task to ask voters to not re-elect the man that saved America.  He is old though and I can see his son taking the reigns on name alone if it came down to it after his first term.  The sad thing is though that when I mention Ron Paul not many people even know who he is.  I blame the media to a degree but really I blame the voters more for not being well informed of who has the potential to be our POTUS.  They do not take the time to listen and educate themselves on the candidates but are more than ready to bitch about the president a few months later.

He is old and unfortunately Rand Paul is not quite as good as his father on a lot of issues, he is more establishment, more neocon and never talks about things like the drug war.
