I made it to 6:47, when the partisan garbage got too stinky.  I would take this more seriously if it wasn't a guy trying to sell a book.

So what happened to the this plan to invade 5 countries in 7 years in the "confidential" memo that General Clark didn't see, but talked to the world about?

We have/had troops in Iraq, Syria, Lybia, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Lebonon, the only one left is Iran.

He didn't say the plan was to put troops on the ground.  The plan to was invade and implement a regime change.  Looks like they (whomever "they" are) fell five countries short.  And their timeline is way off.

Well I guess they're four short if you count Libya.

Tropps on the ground = regime changes and resource control.  We don't put troops on the ground to "free the people".  Time line being off isn't relevant, timelines change but the goal was still accurate.

I should say that "troops" doesn't necessarily mean combat troops, it refers to CIA operatives, special ops, contractors etc.

Not really.  We have troops in countries all over the world.  That's not what General Clark was talking about.  You should listen to the clip.  He referenced a "confidential" memo that talked about invading 5 countries in 7 years.

The timeline is important, because it was a 7 year plan.  Do you think Obama is in on that 7 year plan?

clark is a very credible man.  I highly doubt he just 'made shit up' here.

more like, the first 2 wars didn't come as pushovers, as dick and george had hoped?

Really?  I never noticed.   :)

If, as you say, "Tropps on the ground = regime changes and resource control," somebody better let Spain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Japan, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Greece, Qatar, etc. know about this.  They're going to be pretty pissed.  lol

Wesley Clark is the best Democratic President we should have had.  I hope he is not done with politics.

Huck was right.

And the surge worked.

In the end everything Huck said means fuck all. The place is still a mess, a giant black hole that has taken many lives and tons of money. The war is/was a disasterious turd of failed intentions. So Huck can shove all that broke it, bought it, honor bullshit straight up his fat ass where it belongs.  as it stands today it doesn't sound anything less than  a Charlie Sheen sort of "winning". Ron was right in many more ways on the Iraq war then Huck will ever hope to be and time has proven that to be true.

LOL @ another CT backed up with credible people.

Nobody on this board has the balls to question clark's military expertise, experience, or knowledge of inside information.  He's right, and if you doubt him, you're wrong.

Clark spoke of the best-case scenario.  We didn't win the wars in iraq and afghanist in pushover manner as we did elsewhere.  so the other countries had to wait for obama to get into office to start those fights... lol

The discussion in that portion of the debate was supposed to be about whether we should continue with the surge, or just leave.  Huck was right.  Ron Paul was wrong.  We should not have just left.  The surge worked.
