Decide-- you fancy yourself an intellectual?

Have you read Mein Kampf?

Do you know anything about the roots of Nazism?

Hitler considered Christianity to be the single greatest threat to his quest for world domination. He had German clergyman rounded up and killed. He had bibles replaced with Mein Kampf. Just because he was allegedly raised as a christian ( his mother was a jew) doesn't mean he was actually a christian.

Hitler did not believe in any higher power except the occult.

Deicide an intellectual? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. One of the funniest jokes I've ever read. He's a career student that studies languages. An intellectual. LOL.

Hitler despised Christianity and the only religion he ever praised was, surprise, surprise, Islam. He loved its militaristic and totalitarian nature and wished that it was Islam that took root in Europe.

You're right. Christians have been so great for the world.

There's just no evidence against it.

As per intellectuals, you're about as far off the mark as it gets. I'm surprised you can conjugate verbs, most of those that hold your positions cannot. Must be lonely for you.

It is a historical fact that Christianity helped to engender the antisemitism in Germany that eventually led to the Holocaust there. Centuries of antisemitism propagated in no small part by the Church were a large part of what gave rise to what happened. There were other causes of course but that was one of them.

Hitler wrote: "I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord..

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.

"The Führer is deeply religious, but deeply anti-Christian. He regards Christianity as a symptom of decay."
Joseph Goebbels(one of Hitler's closest associates and most devout followers), The Holy Reich by Richard Steigmann-Gall, p. 253

“You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"
Adolf Hitler as reported by Albert Speer(Hitler's chief architect before becoming his Minister for Armaments during the war), The Holy Reich by Richard Steigmann-Gall, p. 252-253

On Martin Bormann, Head of the Party Chancellery and private secretary of the Fuhrer
"Nazism, based as it was on a 'scientific' world-view, was completely incompatible with Christianity whose influence was regarded by Bormann as a serious obstacle to totalitarian rule"

Do you deny that the Church fomented antisemitism over the course of centuries?

The Roman Catholic church, and later even some reformers too?  Sadly, no, I don't deny it.  So?

I appreciate your honesty here. Protestant sects weren't much better on Jews.

Uh, ever hear private conversations of jews?  They are some of the most bigoted racist people themselves.  No group has a monopoly on hate and aeitihists are some of the most hateful people there are.

Some of the reformers were Roman Catholic too, and had been poisoned by centuries of antisemitism.  But now evangelicals are some of the greatest supporters and defenders of the Jews, even by some Jews' own words.
